Hi, I'm Meredith.

I founded form + field because I've seen firsthand what's at stake when communication breaks down, and what becomes possible when it succeeds.

I spent years as a caregiver for my father through a stage IV cancer diagnosis that doctors were ready to write off (he miraculously survived). I learned quickly that patients and families shouldn't have to fight as hard as they often do for basic dignity, clear information, and a voice in their own care. That experience, along with years volunteering with Doorways for Women and Families, staffing crisis lines and safe houses and accompanying survivors of sexual violence to the hospital, taught me that the words we choose, and how we deliver them, can change the course of someone's life. My graduate research focused on hospice care communication and the gap between when providers recommend end-of-life care and when patients actually need it. I've seen what that gap costs people.

That's why I do this work, and why I take it seriously.

I'm a creative strategist with a background in health, crisis, and risk communication — but I'm also a visual thinker. I studied photography before I studied communication, and that lens has never left me. I see structure, narrative, and meaning in how things are composed, not just what they say. It's shaped how I approach every project, whether I'm building a communications framework or designing an infographic.

Outside of work, I'm a knitter, a photographer, and a mom who loves making things — from big ideas to small crafts with my daughter. I travel whenever I can. I'm endlessly curious, and I bring that same curiosity to every client I work with.
